Dr. Folio is the Imaging Informatics Section Chief in Radiology at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. He is also a professor in the departments of Oncologic Sciences & Radiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine right next door.

Dr. Folio is also director of imaging informatics in radiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

From a mixed reality perspective, Dr. Folio started testing augmented reality goggles as he earned his master’s in public health at University of California, Berkeley in 1999.

Dr. Folio co-chairs the Tampa VA’s 3D innovation center where they educate on augmented reality in surgical planning and patient education.
