Dr. Kim Hoggatt Krumwiede
Dr. Hoggatt Krumwiede is currently the dean for the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She has a PhD in Learning Technologies and is a Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI). In private industry, she has worked with surgeons, publishers and medical device companies on projects incorporating multimedia and emerging technologies. In higher education Dr. Hoggatt Krumwiede has coordinated and produced large projects involving interactive multimedia, online learning, video and print publication for a variety of audiences including students, researchers, physicians and patients. Her research interests include educational technology, interprofessional education, patient education for medically underserved populations, and research and development of technology applications in biomedical environments. Dr. Hoggatt Krumwiede currently involved in collaborative research focusing on possible applications for virtual reality with adolescent and young adult cancer survivors.
