Dr. Aviv Elor
Aviv Elor is Co-Founder, President, and Chief Research Officer of Immergo Labs, building one of the world's first embodied XR platforms for physical rehabilitation with full-body AI biomechanics and gamified exercise programs. He holds a Human Computer Interaction PhD and Robotics Engineering BS from UC Santa Cruz, where he conducted over a decade of research on human-centered XR rehabilitation, producing over 25 peer-reviewed publications and earning recognition in Forbes 30 Under 30, ACM, and IEEE while currently serving as an Adjunct Professor. His industry experience spans user research to engineering roles at Meta Reality Labs, NIH, Walt Disney Imagineering, Warner Bros Entertainment, and Google. As Principal Investigator on NSF grants totaling over $1.5 million, Aviv has established partnerships with the Houston VA, APTA, and a Fortune 50 company to translate his research into real-world solutions. Immergo enables full-body avatar interactions between clinicians and patients in shared VR environments, using biomechanical AI for clinical-grade assessment with off-the-shelf XR devices. Aviv's work stems from rupturing his elbow in a national judo competition, driving his mission for developing immersive technologies that enhance human performance and wellbeing. He is passionate about the potential of technology to improve lives and is always excited about opportunities to collaborate.
