David Aten is a 3D Anatomic Specialist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he designs and produces patient-specific 3D anatomical models for the advancement of surgeon and patient education. He holds an MA from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and is a Certified Medical Illustrator. Dave is also involved in collaborative research focusing on possible applications for virtual reality with adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. He has worked professionally as a medical illustrator for 21 years.
