Ben Salatin is an Innovation Specialist at the Tampa VA Hospital who blends a background in mechanical engineering and rehabilitation science to advance frontline innovation for Veterans by coaching VA employee innovators looking to solve tough problems. A former clinical rehabilitation engineer who helped found VA’s national 3D printing user community, he took a turn into the world of immersive technology through the VHA Innovation Ecosystem, excited by the potential for creative problem solving. He has supported several pilot projects with clinicians at VA hospitals and currently promotes exploration and adoption of immersive tech use cases among the clinicians at the Tampa VA. Outside of work, he enjoys sci-fi, a good cappuccino, shady hikes and traveling the world.
